The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run an online game: an account identifier, device and gameplay data, and crash reports. We do not ask for your real name, we do not collect your contacts or precise location, and we do not sell your data.
Who we are
Merc Wrath is published by Lunana Global Inc., a company incorporated in British Columbia, Canada. This policy covers the Game and this website. Questions go to hello@mercwrath.com.
What we collect
When you play, we collect:
- an account identifier we generate, and the player name you choose;
- device information: model, operating system version, language, country/region, and platform identifiers used for game services;
- gameplay data: progress, contracts fought, keep layout, results, session length, and similar telemetry used to run and balance the game;
- purchase records from the app store you buy through (what was bought and when, never your card number);
- crash and performance reports.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for your real name, postal address, or phone number. We do not access your contacts, photos, microphone, or precise location. The Game contains no third-party advertising and we do not sell personal data.
Why we collect it
To operate the Game (save your progress, resolve contracts between players, deliver purchases), to keep it fair (detect cheating and abuse), to fix it (crashes, performance), and to improve it (aggregate analytics about how the game is played). Under GDPR the legal bases are performance of a contract, our legitimate interest in running a safe and stable service, and consent where required.
What other players can see
Merc Wrath is an asynchronous multiplayer game. Your player name, keep layout, defence results and replays, and contractor rating are visible to players you interact with. That is the game. Nothing else about you is shown to other players.
Who processes data for us
We use a small number of service providers under contract: game analytics (GameAnalytics), crash reporting (Google Firebase Crashlytics), and cloud hosting for game services and this site. They process data only on our instructions. App stores (Apple, Google) process your purchases under their own privacy policies.
Where data is held
We are a Canadian company; our service providers store data primarily in the United States and the European Union. Where data crosses borders we rely on recognized safeguards such as standard contractual clauses, and we handle personal information in accordance with PIPEDA.
How long we keep it
Account and gameplay data are kept while your account is active. If you delete your account, or after an extended period of inactivity, we delete or de-identify it. Crash logs and raw telemetry are kept on shorter rolling windows. Purchase records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, correction, or deletion at any time by emailing hello@mercwrath.com from the device or account concerned. Depending on where you live (PIPEDA, GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws) you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, to portability, and to complain to your data-protection authority. We do not discriminate against you for exercising them.
Children
The Game is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
Data in transit is encrypted, access to production systems is restricted, and we collect little enough that the blast radius of any incident is small. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will notify you as the law requires.
Changes
If we change this policy materially we will announce it in the Game or on this site and update the effective date above. The current version always lives at this address.
